1. Who is the architect? The Kansas City Public Library Board of Trustees
2. When was it built? It was built in 1873, but re-done to look like this in 2004.
3. Where is it located? Kansas City, Missouri
4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit it, it's a public library.
5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? $50 million.
6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? It was originally built to form a sense of strength and continuity and it still conveys that today.
7. Why did you pick this building? I picked this building because I've always loved libraries. I loved to read as a kid and the library acted as a sanctuary for me. I saw the word library on this list and instantly was curious about how a library could be interpreted in an unusual artistic way. I was not disappointed with this result.

4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit this building to see a performance.
5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? €300 million ($320 million)
6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? The building was created to stand out as well as do it's function and act as a performing arts center.
7. Why did you pick this building? I picked this building because I'm in theatre and my eyes were drawn to "performing arts" in the title. I wanted to see how something that has a traditional form of architecture could be interpreted differently. I was surprised when I saw what it looked like, and it's very beautiful. I think this building is gorgeous.

2. When was it built? 1994
3. Where is it located? Jumeirah St - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit this building, if you're staying at it, as it is a hotel.
5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? $650 million
6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? Tom Wright designed it and it was built to be a beautiful ground breaking building.
7. Why did you pick this building? I picked this building because I saw it was located in the UAE and I recently learned about countries in Africa. In geography class we learned that many countries in Africa aren't as underdeveloped as they're portrayed to be. I was curious to see a unique building from the UAE and I am very impressed.
4. Cubic Houses, Netherlands
1. Who is the architect? Piet Blom
2. When was it built? 1977
3. Where is it located? Overblaak 70, 3011 MH Rotterdam, Netherlands
4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit and look at the outside of the houses, and one residents decided to open his house to tourism.
5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? I couldn't find information on how much it cost to build.
6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? It was built because there wasn't enough housing space on ground level.
7. Why did you pick this building? I picked this building because I read the title and was curious how cubes would be incorporated to make an unusual living space. I was wondering this because normal houses are cubes, right? I was surprised and pleased with discovering what these famous houses actually look like.

3. Where is it located? Newark, Ohio
4. Is it a private building or can you visit it? You can visit it to look at the outside.
5. Is there information on how much it cost to build? $32 million
6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? The Longaberger Company remodeled the building to look like it's best seller: The "Medium Market Basket."
7. Why did you pick this building? I picked this building really hoping to see a building in the shape of a gigantic basket, and that's exactly what I got. I saw the parentheses (The Basket Building) and thought how this should be entertaining. I am as content with myself as I would be if I were Little Red Riding Hood.
